A short course on "Modelling MAR facilities design and operations using the free and open source FREEWAT plugin" was held on May 20th 2019 in Madrid (Spain), within the 10th International Symposium of Managed Aquifer Recharge.
The training course was given by Rudy Rossetto and Giovanna De Filippis (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Italy), and it was attended by 10 people from the academic and the private sector.
The training consisted in an excercise aimed at simulating the effects on groundwater quantity and budget, due to a Managed Aquifer Recharge infiltration basin set in place in Suvereto (central Italy) within the frmework of the EU LIFE REWAT project.
